Casinacho Games

★★★★☆ 4.3 Editor rating

Casinacho Games is a tidy little bundle of short, tap-and-swipe challenges wrapped in a cheerful art style. Each mini-game is self-contained and takes a minute or two, so it fits perfectly into the gaps in a day. Controls are entirely touch-based: a flick here, a tap-and-hold there, with a short tutorial card before anything unfamiliar shows up.

What surprised me was how much polish went into the transitions. Finishing one round smoothly drops you into a selection wheel where you pick the next activity, and there's no loading hitch to break the rhythm. The difficulty nudges upward gently rather than throwing a wall at you, which made it easy to keep going for longer than I planned.

It won't change your life, and a couple of the mini-games repeat ideas you've seen before. But as a relaxed pick-up-anytime app it does exactly what it sets out to do, and the sound design — soft chimes and a low, loopable backing track — made it oddly soothing on the commute.
