Cozy sims that let you breathe
There's a whole wave of cozy simulation games built around not stressing you out, and I'm fully on board. Skybloom Ranch is a good example: nothing dies, nothing spoils, nothing demands a daily check-in.
That design choice changes the relationship. Instead of the game owning your schedule, you open it when you actually want to. For a sim on a phone, that's exactly right.
What keeps me coming back isn't urgency, it's curiosity. I want to see the next island, build the next bridge, try a new garden layout. Progress is the reward, not avoiding punishment.
If you've ever quit a farming game because it felt like a second job, the no-nag generation is worth another look. Low pressure, high charm.
